This CFS submicron carbon block is a 0.5 micron, 10" x 2.5" direct replacement for CBC-10 and CB3 cartridges — ten times finer than a standard 5 micron carbon block. The tighter path and longer contact time help reduce chlorine taste and odor while also capturing the sand, silt, dirt and rust that cloud water. Best suited to under sink and reverse osmosis positions; four cartridges at a six month change is two years of service.
